My life is focused on spiritual work for the environment, which has led me to believe our relationship to the Sacred is grounded in our bodies. Body work can bring a mystical awareness of the unity of all things, and inspire a deep love for our Earth. I started my career in environmental campaigning in the early 1980's while I was studying for a Philosophy and Literature degree, and it continues to date. A fascination with spirituality and ecology led me to Paganism, which I discovered while working for Friends of the Earth. As a result I founded the Dragon Environmental Network (1990) which draws together Paganism and practical environmentalism. Seeking an intuitive way express my ideas, I started to explore photography, and later completed a B.A. degree (1991) and an M.A. (1994) in Photographic Studies. I still experiment with images as a way of expressing my spiritual vision. I was initiated in 1991 into 'Progressive Wicca', a mix of Alexandrian and Gardnerian Traditions with an environmental slant and practiced Eco-Paganism with an eclectic non-hierarchical Coven for about 13 years. I now have an eclectic practice rooted in Earth-based Pagan traditions that remains in creative flux. During the 1990's I was active in the UK anti-roads movement and began writing articles for UK Pagan magazines, including the 'Sacred Earth' series for Pagan Dawn. I've been active in interfaith work, working mainly with Christians, notably the Creation Spirituality movement founded by Matthew Fox. My PhD. thesis on The Wisdom of the Body: Embodied Knowing in Eco-Paganism was completed in July 2008. The Embodiment Resources website has more information on my academic work. William Bloom's Core Energy Management integrates perfectly with the myriad strands of my life. I completed a CEM workshop and trainers course with William in 2002 and have practiced and developed the techniques ever since. I taught the Nature and Religion module at the University of Winchester this year and have lectured at several other colleges including Essex University, University of Cardiff and York St. John University. My workshops draw on all of the above - and a wealth of wisdom from many other sources. I currently help co-ordinate the Dragon Network and campaign on environmental issues. I maintain the eco-philosophy site the green fuse and edit Embodiment Resources. I also created a site about Hekate which I no longer maintain.
